Competency-Based Education
An online educational pathway to the WELS teaching ministry for adults who cannot come to New Ulm for the traditional four-year campus experience.
Congregational Partner Grant Program
Your donations will be used to match congregations’ gifts to MLC for their sons and daughters studying for the public ministry.
In the 2023-24 academic year, MLC matched $1,325 per student per year.Ìý
535 students were supported by CPCG.
284 Congregations participated in CPGP.
$665,630 was matched by MLC in the program.Ìý
In the 2024-25 academic year, MLC will match up to $1,450 per student per year.Ìý
Facilities– Residence Hall Enhancements
ÌýGifts of all sizes will be directed to campus enhancement priorities.
Financial Aid
Give a gift in any amount to help us make the 10% boost to all financial aid received by our students!
Your donations will help ensure that students committed to ministerial training can attend MLC despite financial obstacles and can graduate from MLC without excessive debt.

Other giving opportunities
Alumni Fund
The Alumni Board created the Alumni Fund at MLC. One hundred percent of your gifts to the Alumni Fund will be used to fund the Alumni Scholarship and MLC projects selected by the Board.
Daylight Program
Every year MLC partners with mission minded congregations to send MLC students to fill mission needs all over the WELS and in international mission fields through our Daylight Program.
Early Childhood Ministry
Your donations will be used where MLC needs them most for Early Childhood Ministry.
International Student Aid Fund
Your donations will help us train international students so they can take the gospel back to their own countries all over the world.
Ladies’ Auxiliary
Your donations will be used to fund Auxiliary projects that have been submitted by MLC professors.
Old Main Entrance
We plan to replace the entrance stairway and repair the foundation along the front of the building. The new design honors the heritage of the old building while creating an aesthetically pleasing covered entrance that is safe and protected from winter damage.
Operating Endowment Fund
Your donations will provide perpetual benefits to MLC as this fund grows and its annual distribution supplements the MLC operating budget.
Scholarship Endowment Fund
Your donations will provide perpetual benefits to MLC as this fund grows and its distribution supplements financial aid to MLC students.
Urban Ministry
Your donations will assist in funding the Urban Ministry minor to meet the need for more teachers qualified to teach in urban schools.
