What is the show about?
Grow alongside Louis May Alcott’s little pilgrims as they wrestle with their inner vanities and seek contentment and joy in a simple life well-lived. The March sisters—Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth—are poor in material comforts but rich in imagination, home life, and spiritual depth. In her book,ÌýLittle Women, Alcott invites us into their warm, nostalgic home where we battle imaginary villains with Jo, witness the foibles of Meg’s early married life, struggle with Amy as she learns to care more for virtue than vanity, and share in Beth’s tears as she embraces her unique story.ÌýLittle Women: The Broadway MusicalÌýcaptures the charm of this tender family, focusing on the story of Jo. As the oldest, she is the captain of this merry band of childhood adventurers, but as her sisters and friends grow and change around her, she clings tightly to her childhood dreams. Will she discover her true path?ÌýExperience the warmth and joy of this beloved story, complete with tender moments, dramatic swordplay, and captivating music that will transport you and encourage you in your own pilgrimage home.

What if I have never been in a show before?Ìý
Forum is here to welcome, mentor, and help prepare you for ministry! We offer valuable experience in all aspects of a theatrical production. You are not expected to be a theater master. There are many roles both on and off-stage. If you are interested in learning, then you are in the right place!
Do I have to be at all rehearsals?Ìý
Being in the cast for a musical is a major commitment (). It requires you to be present at most rehearsals, have some Saturday commitments, and also plan ahead with your coursework prep so that you are prepared for some later rehearsals the week before the show. Forum is a supportive community and able to mentor you on how to do this well, but you need to be willing and able to set aside the necessary time to commit to the show.
There are also lots of production crew roles—assisting with set construction, painting, making and finding props and costumes, and helping with the box office—that are vital for the show, offer you valuable experiences, get you involved in the Forum community, and are less of a time commitment.Ìý
Do you have any questions? Feel free to contact Mrs. Christine Thompson (Forum Advisor and Musical Director) at thompscm@mlc-wels.edu; Kathy Wurster (Music Director) at wurstekm@mlc-wels.edu, Jason Horn (Forum President) at hornja@mlc-wels.edu.Ìý
